General Electric has "merged" their latest form of ownership, Monterey Wind, LLC with the Lobbyist firm of American Wind Alliance and the former T. Boone Pickens company Mesa Power. The Monterey Township board had requested the Michigan Wind Outreach Team to give an 'educational' presentation about wind energy to the township.

Three presenters did absolutely no education about wind turbines, but specifically attacked the author of a new book which presents medical documentation of wind turbine-caused health problems in a peer reviewed case study about Wind Turbine Syndrome, which documents a connection between wind turbines and inner ear disturbances. It was a shameful display of cowardice and disinformation by a person whose first sentence was, "I am not an expert in this field, but I can tell you what our doctors say about 'Wind Turbine Syndrome" Then he never presented ANY DOCUMENTATION about what their doctors did say. He just said so! And then conducted a personal attack on her by innuendo, misstatement of facts and an almost laughable commentary on the book he did not even read. The wind industry doctors are somewhere, but not here, not there and not anywhere you could find any medical documentation of reliable investigation, or any investigation for that matter.

The wind proponents will not do any investigations into complaints of illnesses connected with wind turbines because any such REAL investigations would uncover data that wind turbines indeed do cause many health problems. The speaker then launched into a homily about how taxpayers were not able to zone wind turbines out of their townships, and that it was too hard for them to do anything about them, except feeble attempts to regulate them. Sadly reminiscent of arrogant King George's attitude towards the new upstart country of the United States.

Citizens for Responsible Green Energy had a meeting just following the "dog and pony show" the outreach team put on. We presented Rick James from E-Coustic Solutions, a top international acoustician to present facts about sound and how the wind developers hide the real facts and then just deny how much noise they actually do make. He presented a wonderful Power Point presentation with question and answers. WE PUT OUR DOCUMENTATION IN WRITING. We handed out folders for everyone in attendance.

The Township of Monterey and adjoining areas in South West Michigan are being 'farmed' by Atwell-Hicks (a Civil Engineering Consultant firm) hired by GE (General Electric), who we all know as a great proponent of Six Sigma, but not of 'GREEN'. The project's vice president is the same gentleman who did the West Virginia wind farm that was such a boondoggle. Most of the locals found out by accident, as this started in 2004-2005 with some of the larger farmers being placed under 'contract' and then trying to get other smaller farmers to enroll in their scheme. It was kept very secretive, minimal township "official" notice in newspapers, but no articles in the papers about the drastic changes that Industrial Wind Turbines would bring to the citizens and taxpayers in the local community. There was no information available from the township FOR the citizens even if they wanted it. There was no real input from the community, it was 'snuck in" like a thief in the night.

A few citizens got wind of the project and after meeting with the salesman from the Civil Engineering Firm, a group got together to see what could be done to prevent a boondoggle here. This is a work in progress. We will be updating these pages as time goes by, and we will post articles and stories of particular interest to our own neighbors and for others facing the same issues in their own towns and rural areas. Throughout our research, we have found that few ever had the time to research the company's promises or even find a good lawyer to review the 'contracts'. People were 'gently coerced' into signing 'as soon as possible' with promises of free money. Knowledge is power. We all need to know what is happening to our communities and how to deal with it BEFORE it moves in.

This website is a place where the Citizens for Responsible Green Energy offer to the public an alternative view of "Industrial Wind Power". We taxpayers have come to understand very little about what we are told and sold as gospel truth about wind energy. No hocus pocus, no "music-man" pep talks here. The truth, not as told by salesmen, truth as told by good people like you and your neighbors. Medical and scientific research, data mining, scientific articles and real life experiences will be posted and by citing what has already occurred around the world at other "Wind Farms". Some articles will be light and easy reading, other will downright hardcore science journal data that may be hard to read. Read the articles and get others to read them, and educate as many in your area as you can about the misconceptions of "Industrial Wind Power" and other green-energy scams that may have come to your area, and if it hasn't happenned already, IT WILL.
